YMCA INW Masters Swim Team Makes Waves at Nationwide Pentathlon Invitational

YMCA Masters Team At Pentathlon

On the weekend of October 26 – 27, members of the YMCA of the Inland Northwest’s Masters Swimming team (INAM) traveled to Bend, Oregon, to participate in the 1st Annual Nationwide Pentathlon Invitational Masters Swim Championship. The event brought fast and fierce competition to the pool.

Three swimmers, sisters Elena and Carolyn S. , Daryn M., and their coach, Lesly F., represented the YMCA team with pride and spirit. The meet was the first of its kind, featuring a pentathlon format where athletes competed in each of the four strokes, followed by a grand finale individual medley. True to their nicknames, “Big and Baby Thunder,” sisters Elena and Carolyn each set meet records in every event they entered, bringing home an impressive set of achievements.
