Kaylan Sisco, New CEO YMCA of the Inland Northwest, effective Feb 17, 2025

The YMCA of the Inland Northwest is excited to announce the appointment of Kaylan Sisco as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective February 17, 2025. After a comprehensive two-month search, Sisco was selected by the Y’s Board of Directors to succeed current CEO Alan Lesher, who will retire early February 2025. As CEO, Sisco will lead initiatives focused on community impact and philanthropic growth for the organization.

“As we reviewed candidates from across the country, Kaylan stood out with his energy, vision, and clear passion for the YMCA’s mission,” said Katie Burton, CEO Search Committee Chair and CFO of Lydig Construction. “His extensive experience in building strategic partnerships, driving philanthropic success, and fostering strong organizational culture convinced us he is the right leader to guide the YMCA of the Inland Northwest into the future.”

Sisco shared his enthusiasm for the new role, stating, “I am thrilled to join the YMCA of the Inland Northwest community. Growing up with food and housing insecurity, I became deeply motivated to be part of an organization that provides critical services to youth, families, and individuals while promoting self-advocacy and self-sufficiency. Over the past 20 years, I’ve seen the Y’s profound impact on communities nationwide, which has only deepened my commitment to ensuring the YMCA remains a trusted partner in expanding access to life-changing programs.”

Kaylan Sisco brings over two decades of YMCA experience, having served in both small and large Ys across the country. He is currently the CEO of the Tillamook County Family YMCA, where he has led for the past nine years. Under his leadership, the endowment fund grew by 380%, and he successfully turned around the organization’s financial health, positioning it as a top charity in the community. Sisco has held leadership positions at YMCAs in Missouri, North Carolina, Colorado and Idaho. His experience spans across all YMCA departments, including youth programs, aquatics, camp, and membership, leading to 15 years of executive leadership. Sisco holds a bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies from Missouri State University and is a certified life coach. Kaylan and his family are excited to be engaged members of the community.
