Spokane Valley YMCA Hosts Healthy Kids Day

Free and open to the public, this event features an evening of fun-filled activities to celebrate kids being kids.

The YMCA of the Inland Northwest is hosting the Y’s annual Healthy Kids Day® on Friday, June 6th, 2025 from 5:30-7:30pm at the Spokane Valley YMCA located at 2421 N Discovery Place, Spokane Valley, WA 99216. This FREE, annual event features a variety of family-friendly activities to encourage healthy kids, healthy families, and a healthy start to the summer season.

“It is so important for kids to stay active over the summer, both physically and mentally,” said Suzanne Heutmaker, Spokane Valley YMCA Branch Executive, YMCA of the Inland Northwest. “At the Y, we believe in providing resources to families to ensure that their children have access to what they need to reach their full potential, no matter the time of year. Healthy Kids Day is a fun, free community-wide event that encourages families to take advantage of all the great summer resources that the Y has to offer.”

The YMCA of the Inland Northwest’s Healthy Kids Day will also host over 30 community businesses and non-profits. Some featured activities include face painting, bouncy houses, games, and prizes. A great chance to have fun and play.

This year’s Healthy Kids Day is sponsored nationally by Peanuts Worldwide as part of a new multi-year partnership with YMCA of the USA to increase summer camp access, innovative conservation programs, and camp leadership development for children across the U.S. and internationally.

Locally, Healthy Kids Day is sponsored by Providence Children’s Hospital, Chuck E. Cheese, Azteca, Dairy Queen on Pines, CHAS Clinic, Kaiser Aluminum, Children’s Choice Dentistry, K & N Electric Motors, Horizon Credit Union, Rosauers Supermarkets, Walgreens.
