Learning and Fun are an easy goal with Indoor Soccer at the Y.

With an emphasis on fair play and fun, soccer at the Y is progressive with age-appropriate rules to help teach the game and keep it fun. Our soccer program focuses on sportsmanship and teaching the basic skills including kicking, passing, dribbling, shooting, defense and working as a team.

Minis Program

Preschoolers learn rules and practice soccer fundamentals like dribbling, shooting, passing, and in most cases, going the right way down the court through fun drills and games.

  • Ages 3 – 5, co-ed
  • Locations: Central, North, and Valley Y
  • Program Months: January, February, March, May, June, July, August, September, and October.
  • Structure:  Practices with Inner-squad scrimmages are held once per week.
  • Days: Saturdays
  • 30 Minutes of Fun Skills and Drills, including breaks. Followed by 2o minutes of game play including breaks and time outs.
  • Led by: Y Staff
  • Family Involvement: Highly recommended.

Kinder Soccer Bash

This 50 minute clinic will include fun skills and drills, games, and a special gift each week. On the third Saturday we will light up the gym with glow sticks. Glow sticks will be provided during game time and the lights will be dimmed in the gym.

First Saturday: t-shirt
Second Saturday: keychain
Third Saturday: glow stick
Fourth Saturday: coloring book

Prepare for the next soccer season by fine-tuning skills in our soccer academy. Players focus on sharpening proper techniques for dribbling, passing, and shooting the ball, competitive practice drills, building physical endurance and having fun.

  • Grades 1 – 3
  • Program Dates: November and December
  • Schedule: Tue and Thu Evenings
    • North Y: 6 – 8pm
    • Valley Y: 5:30 – 7:30pm
