Central YMCA Opens Childcare for First Responders and Essential Workers
Early Learning and School Age Childcare Pop Up Camps.
The YMCA of the Inland Northwest has reopened its Central Spokane YMCA Childcare Center:
- Early Learning: Children ages 2.5 – 5 years, Monday – Friday from 7:30am – 5:30pm; all children must be potty trained.
- School Age care: Children up to age 12 can attend Pop Up Camps at the Central YMCA location from 7:30am – 5:30pm Monday – Friday.
At this time, all childcare services are limited to essential workers. All children will receive breakfast, lunch, and snack.

Enhanced sanitary and safety measures will be in place to help limit the spread of the virus. Children in the Pop Up Camps will be assigned to a group not exceeding 10, including adults, and groups will not interact throughout the day. Staff will wear masks, children can wear masks provided by the family, but will not be required to do so. Expect frequent handwashing, social distancing when possible, and temperature screenings.
