In light of Washington State Governor Inslee’s statewide mandate and recommendations on how to reduce the spread of COVID-19 this morning, all YMCAs in Spokane, WA and Sandpoint, ID will close effective 10pm Monday, March 16th through Tuesday, March 31st .
The health and wellness of our members is our top priority because we know you are the heart of our YMCA. We hope you understand how difficult this has been and ask that you support each other and stay connected during this challenging time. Reach out to your fellow members and neighbors, especially those who may be isolated during this time.
We know you still have a lot of questions. We do, too. All of us at the Y are grateful for the outpouring of support many of you have expressed. We are committed to doing everything possible to secure the future of the YMCA, and all its services, as these uncertain times continue. Closure for any length of time represents a significant threat to our non-profit organization. We cannot express the potentially devastating impact extensive cancellations could have. We know the Y is an extension of your family and we remain honored and committed to serving you, just as we have served for the last 135 years.
Please join the efforts to support the YMCA and our committed staff. We ask that you continue to pay your membership fee and consider it a donation so that we can use this revenue to protect our community during this time of uncertainty. No action is necessary on your part to continue your monthly payment. Of course, if you wish to place your membership on hold our member service representatives are available by phone from 7:30am to 7pm Monday through Friday. We thank you for your support and understanding. Our community is strong, and together, we will get through this.
