Welcome Back! In adherence to Idaho state restrictions from Gov. Little, access to YMCA facilities will have capacity limits. These are challenging times and we are doing our best to provide our members access to the Y in the safest means possible. We appreciate your patience as we navigate this ever-changing landscape.

Currently, access to the Pool and Group Exercise classes require advance registration. We have a new and improved YMCA reservation system. Our partner MotionVibe has created a more robust experience with many more features. Click the links below for Set-Up instructions and reserving your activity.

CHANGES FOR YOUR SAFETY

Members, guests, and staff are required to wear a mask or face covering while visiting the Litehouse YMCA. It may be removed during active exercise. 

The safety and well-being of everyone in our community – especially our most vulnerable neighbors – is our top priority. We’re following guidance from health experts and local officials to determine the safest way to serve everyone in our community and we’re doing everything possible to ensure our facilities meet the highest standards for hygiene and safety. We have modified our policies and programs to facilitate safe physical distancing practices.

  • Be Kind and Give Everyone Space: Members and staff are expected to comply with the recommended 6-foot distancing rule. This includes, but is not limited to, locker rooms, group ex classes, pool deck, common areas, stairways, etc. Plexiglas barriers have been added to Member Services and Wellness Desks. Cardio equipment will be limited and group exercise class size will be reduced.
  • There is a Smile Behind That Mask: Staff will wear masks at all times.
  • We’ve Missed You But Stay Home If You Are Sick: For everyone’s health and safety if any below conditions apply, we will ask you to return home.
    • Do you live or had close contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 14 days?
    • Have you had a fever in the last 48 hours?
    • Do you have a fever, cough, or shortness of breath, sore throat, loss of taste or smell?
    • Have you had vomiting or diarrhea in the last 24 hours?
  • Child Watch: 2-hour time limit. Children ages 2 – 11. Days/Hours: Mon – Fri, 8:30am – 1pm. *CDC requirements: Children 5 years and older should wear a mask over their nose and mouth when in public settings where it’s difficult to practice social distancing. (little ones must be able to walk on their own)
  • Sanitizing is a Group Effort: Please clean equipment, weights, lockers, and surface areas before and after use. We have added more cleaning and hand sanitizing stations throughout the facility. Members are asked to wash and sanitize their hands upon entering the Y, and often during their visit. Staff cleaning protocols have been increased in all areas.
  • Group Exercise Classes: New classes on our outdoor court – see Member Services for details.
    All in-branch classes will have a limited schedule & capacity and pre-registration is required or call 509 777 9622. Virtual classes on our website, YouTube, Facebook Live, and Zoom are also available. Schedule your reservation with the link at the top of the page.
  • Court Use: 2 people or 1 family per court at a time.
  • Pool: Weekend Family Swim Time, Water Walking, Water Ex, and distanced Lap Swimming will be available for those who are level 4 swimmers or above. Advance registration is required. Schedule your reservation with the link at the top of the page or call 509 777 9622. No open swim.

Check-In:

  • Prepare for health questions and wash or sanitize hands prior to entry. If your answer is yes to any of these questions, we will ask you to return home for everyone’s health and safety.
    1. Do you live or had close contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 14 days?
    2. Have you had a fever in the last 48 hours?
    3. Do you have a fever, cough, or shortness of breath, sore throat, loss of taste or smell?
    4. Have you had vomiting or diarrhea in the last 24 hours?
  • Self-check-in with membership card or App.
  • Wear a mask or face covering while in the facility. May be removed during active exercise.

MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS

  1. Members who have kept their membership active through our facility closures can reserve appointments for Group Exercise classes or Lap Lane Swim. Thank you for staying with us! Schedule your reservation with the link at the top of the page.
  2. Is your membership on Hold Status or Inactive? No worries! Our new reservation system checks your membership status during the reservation process. If you are having any difficulty securing your spot, call us or come into a facility and we’ll get you back to Active status. Any associated fee will be based on the remaining days before your next draft is scheduled (21st or 1st depending on your account).
  3. Want to make changes to your membership? Simply complete the Membership Change Form, or give us a call 509 777 9622 and we can help! You may also leave a message, or a call back number, as we know wait times may be longer than normal.

 


KEEPING EVERYONE HEALTHY

How You Can Help

  • Effective Wed, July 29: Members, Guests, and Staff are required to wear a mask or face covering while visiting the Litehouse YMCA. It may be removed during active exercise.
  • Practice healthy hygiene and remain home if feeling ill, have had exposure to COVID-19, or are considered to be in high-risk categories.
  • Bring Towel, Yoga Mat, Water Bottle (water fountains closed, bottle filling stations only), and Bag for personal items, storage cubbies not available.
  • Respect and practice physical distancing of 6 feet or more
  • Wipe down all equipment before and after each use with provided supplies, along with lockers in the locker rooms.
  • Wash and sanitize your hands often throughout your stay.
  • Comply with and respect all signage.

What the YMCA is Doing

  • All staff will be wearing masks and additional PPE as appropriate.
  • Staff will have their temperatures taken prior to starting work
  • Extra staff and shifts for enhanced sanitizing and cleaning throughout the building.
  • Continued online exercise classes via Facebook Live, Zoom, and Y360. Everyone deserves a chance to thrive. We will continue to engage and serve all people where they are, including through virtual offerings and outreach services for those who continue to practice physical distancing and those who need special support during these challenging times.
  • Our Wellness Ambassadors will be available to answer any questions and help maintain healthy spaces throughout our buildings.
