Litehouse YMCA Limited Opening Information

Welcome Back!

In adherence to Idaho state restrictions given to us by Governor Little, access to YMCA facilities will have capacity limits. Access to the pool and Group Exercise classes are by reservation only. These are challenging times and we are doing our best to provide our members access to the Y in the safest means possible. We appreciate your patience as we navigate this ever-changing landscape.

CHANGES  – FOR YOUR SAFETY

Effective Wednesday, July 29 members, guests, and staff will be required to wear a mask or face covering while in the Litehouse Y facility. You do not have to wear a mask or face covering while exercising.

The safety and well-being of everyone in our community – especially our most vulnerable neighbors – is our top priority. We’re following guidance from health experts and local officials to determine the safest way to serve everyone in our community and we’re doing everything possible to ensure our facilities meet the highest standards for hygiene and safety. We have modified our policies and programs to facilitate safe physical distancing practices.

Adjusted Hours:
Mon – Fri 5am – 8pm | Sat – Sun 8am – 2pm
Wed & Fri 10am – Noon | Reserved for vulnerable population

  • BE KIND AND GIVE EVERYONE SPACE: Members and staff are expected to comply with the recommended 6-foot distancing rule. This includes, but is not limited to, locker rooms, group ex classes, pool deck, common areas, stairways, etc. Plexiglas barriers have been added to Member Services and Wellness Desks. Cardio equipment will be limited and group exercise class size will be reduced.
  • THERE IS A SMILE BEHIND THAT MASK: Staff will wear masks when appropriate. Gloves will be available, but not required. Members will be strongly encouraged to wear masks in common areas and while not exercising.
  • WE’VE MISSED YOU BUT STAY HOME IF YOU ARE SICK: Staff & Members please stay home if you answer yes to any of the following:
    • Do you live with anyone or have you had close contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 14 days?
    • Have you had a fever in the last 48 hours?
    • Do you have a fever, cough, or shortness of breath, sore throat, loss of taste or smell?
    • Have you had vomiting or diarrhea in the last 24 hours?

  • CHILD WATCH: 1-hour time limit. Children ages 2 – 7. Days/Hours: Mon, Tue & Wed, 9:30am – 1pm (little ones must be able to walk on their own)
  • SANITIZING IS A GROUP EFFORT: Please clean equipment, weights, lockers and surface areas before and after use. We have added more cleaning and hand sanitizing stations throughout the facility. Members are asked to wash and sanitize their hands upon entering the Y, and often during their visit. Staff cleaning protocols have been increased in all areas.
