The YMCA Community Garden located at the North YMCA. The Greenhouse is at the Valley Y. Together they provide fresh produce for our community in partnership with local partner agencies. Volunteers are needed to assist with the planning, planting, maintenance and harvesting, in both locations. Whether you are a Master Gardener or just like playing in the dirt, we can use your help!
Volunteer Position Open – Garden Program Leader
The Garden Program Leader will facilitate the weekly needs of the North YMCA Garden from April – October. In partnership with other local organizations, the Program Leader will coordinate food distribution to YMCA members and those in need of fresh produce. The primary function will be to maintain the garden and assist in planning opportunities for members and the community to learn gardening basics.
